These qualifications for testing were published and passed to those who wished to be examined by Saito Shihan. The examinations were detailed, requiring precision, accuracy and an ability to demonstrate the Suburis, Katas and additional forms over and over again.
Now that he has passed and the Iwama dojo has been handed back to the Ueshiba family the rules that were original made can no longer be applied in full. However, Sensei Sargeant is following the tradition of Iwama Ryu Bukiwaza certification as an authorised examiner.

From now on, I change the name of “AIKI KEN JO” to “IWAMA RYU KEN JO”.
